When you’re deep in busy season, it’s easy to get into a groove: send the contract, collect the deposit, repeat. And while there’s nothing wrong with a reliable rhythm, there’s a good chance Rock Paper Coin could do more for you than you’re letting it.
We’ve been paying close attention to how members are using the platform, and three features keep coming up as high-value tools that aren’t getting nearly enough love. They’re not new in the “just launched” sense, but they’re new enough that many members either haven’t explored them yet or set them up once and forgot they were there.
Today, we’re changing that.
1. Invoice Templates: Stop Rebuilding the Same Invoice Over and Over
If you’re manually entering your line items, amounts, payment schedules, and notes every time you create a new invoice, this one is for you.
Invoice Templates let you save all of that information – services, pricing, taxes, notes, attachments, and payment installment schedules – so that the next invoice you create takes seconds instead of minutes. You build it once. Rock Paper Coin does the rest.
Why it matters
Think about how many invoices you’ve created in the last year. If even 80% of them shared the same structure – similar packages, the same deposit percentage, the same payment terms – you’ve been doing a lot of unnecessary work. Templates don’t just save time; they also help protect you against small errors that creep in when you’re building documents quickly.
Consistency matters, too. A well-structured invoice that looks the same every time is a small but meaningful signal of professionalism to your clients.
How to set one up
- Go to Invoices in the left-side navigation
- Click Templates
- Click + TEMPLATE
- Add your title and fill in any details you want saved, like line items, amounts, taxes, notes, payment schedules
- Click SAVE to store the template, or USE to save it and immediately apply it to a new invoice
When you’re ready to use a template, click + INVOICE, choose Apply a template, and your invoice will pre-fill. You can still edit any field before sending.
Pro tip: Create a separate template for each of your packages or service tiers. Booking a full-planning client? One click. A day-of coordination package? Another click. Done.
2. Your Dashboard: The Business Report You Didn’t Know You Had
When was the last time you actually spent a few minutes inside your Rock Paper Coin Dashboard? Not just to check whether a payment came through, but to genuinely look at your numbers?
The updated Dashboard is designed to give you a real-time picture of how your business is performing, with reporting that’s simple enough to actually use.
What you’ll find there
Your Dashboard defaults to a current month-to-date view, compared against the same period in the prior month, so you can see at a glance whether things are trending up or down. Every metric on the page adjusts to whatever date range you choose.
Here’s what’s tracked:
- Payments received: Total installments collected within your selected date range
- Upcoming payments: What’s scheduled to come in based on invoice due dates (sent and past-due invoices are included; drafts are not)
- Contracts completed: Fully executed agreements within the period
- Payments summary: A breakdown of paid, upcoming, draft, overdue, and refunded invoices
- Contracts summary: Signed, awaiting signers, draft, and overdue contracts at a glance
- Leads: If you’re on RPC Premium, you’ll also see an incoming leads summary compared to prior periods
Real-time notifications live in the bell icon at the top of your account, so you can always see what’s new without going hunting for it.
The report you’re probably not using
This might be the most overlooked feature inside the Dashboard: the export button.
Click the pink paper icon in the top-right corner of the Dashboard, choose either a .csv or .pdf format, select the data you want included, and your report downloads directly to your computer in moments.
This is genuinely useful for end-of-quarter reviews, tax prep conversations with your accountant, or just a simple year-over-year gut check on how your business is growing.
3. International Payments: Open Your Business to Clients Around the World
Destination weddings. Clients who live abroad and are getting married stateside. International couples who found you on Instagram and want to book. If any of these scenarios sound familiar, or like something you’d like them to be, this feature is worth two minutes of your time.
International Payments on Rock Paper Coin is powered by Stripe, takes less than a minute to enable, and comes at no additional cost.
Your subscription fees stay the same. Your processing fees stay the same. International payments even process on the same timeline as domestic ones.
How to turn it on
- Go to your Admin page and click the Settings tab
- Click the Verify button next to the International Payments section
- Fill in the required information and click Confirm
- You’ll see a confirmation message: “You have international payments enabled”
If the success message doesn’t appear, check your Stripe Connect status on your My Wallet page. Stripe may need a bit of additional information to complete the verification.
One more perk worth mentioning
When you enable international payments, you also gain the ability to set a statement descriptor. This name appears on your client’s bank or credit card statement when a payment clears. For international clients especially, this prevents confusion about unfamiliar charges and keeps the client experience feeling polished and professional.
The Takeaway
None of these features require a big time investment to set up. Invoice Templates can be built in a few minutes. The Dashboard is already waiting for you. International Payments can be enabled before your next cup of coffee is finished.
But together, they can meaningfully change how efficiently you run your business, and in some cases, they can open doors to clients you might not have been able to serve before.
